One engineering team, licensed where you build
Professional Engineers are licensed by each state, and a building department will only accept drawings sealed by an engineer licensed in that state. That is why national builders, manufacturers and multi-state contractors often juggle a different engineer in every market.
PE Engineer solves that with a network of state-licensed PEs working to one standard. You send every project to one place, and each set is sealed by an engineer who holds an active license where the project is built. The drawings follow the codes that state and city enforce, including local amendments, wind, snow and seismic maps, and frost depth.
How licensing works. Engineering drawings must be sealed by a Professional Engineer licensed in the state where your project is located. PE Engineer works with a network of state-licensed PEs, so every set we deliver is reviewed and stamped by an engineer who holds an active license in the state where your project is located. Their name and license number appear on the seal, exactly as your building department requires.
How it works
From first message to stamped drawings, you deal directly with the engineering team.
Step 1
Send your project
Fill out the quote form with the address, scope and any drawings, photos or plan-check comments you already have. Two minutes is enough.
Step 2
Get a fixed-fee quote
An engineer reviews the scope and replies with a clear fixed price and delivery date for your project. No hourly surprises.
Step 3
Engineering and drafting
We run the calculations, prepare the drawings to the codes your jurisdiction enforces, and check every sheet before sealing.
Step 4
Stamped set delivered
You receive the sealed PDF set ready to submit. If the plan reviewer has comments, we answer them and revise at no charge within scope.
State licensing FAQs
How can you stamp plans in every state?
Engineering licenses are issued state by state. PE Engineer works with a network of Professional Engineers who hold active licenses in each state, and every project is sealed by an engineer licensed where the project is built.
Will my local building department accept the stamp?
Yes, when the drawings are sealed by a PE licensed in your state and prepared to your local codes, which is how we deliver every set. If the plan reviewer has comments, we respond and revise within scope.
My state is not listed. Can you still help?
All 50 states and Washington, DC are covered. For US territories or projects outside the US, contact us and we will confirm what is possible.
Do codes really differ between states?
Yes. Most states adopt the International Codes, but with their own amendments, editions and in some cases fully separate state codes. Wind, snow, seismic and frost requirements also change by location. We design to the rules where your project is.
