How we work

What these projects have in common

Started from what the client had

A floor plan, a manufacturer package, a sketch or plan-check comments. We tell you what else is needed, and nothing more.

Sealed where it is built

New York, Illinois, California, New Hampshire, Delaware, Louisiana and Montana projects were each sealed by a PE licensed in that state.

Plan check handled

When a reviewer asked for more, such as occupant load or egress in Santa Clarita, we answered each comment and resealed.

Schedules respected

Rush stamps for framing crews and fixed delivery dates on larger sets, agreed before work started.

Licensing

How to verify a PE stamp

Every engineer’s seal shows the engineer’s name, license number and the state that issued the license. Each state engineering board runs a free public license lookup where you can confirm the license is active.

If you would like to confirm who will seal your drawings before you approve a proposal, ask us. We will share the engineer’s name and license number for your state so you can check it yourself.

How licensing works. Engineering drawings must be sealed by a Professional Engineer licensed in the state where your project is located. PE Engineer works with a network of state-licensed PEs, so every set is reviewed and stamped by an engineer with an active license in the state where your project is located. Their name and license number appear on the seal, exactly as your building department requires.

FAQ

Questions about our projects

Most of our clients are homeowners and small contractors. We keep their names and addresses private and show each project by city, state and scope instead.

Yes. Every sealed sheet shows the engineer’s name and license number, and you can look the license up on the state engineering board’s public website. We can share that information for your project before work begins.

No. Single beam letters, truss stamps and pole barns are a large part of our work, and so are less common jobs like container buildings and change of use plans. Send the details and we will tell you what the permit needs.
